This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing is sent to a third-party analytics service, so there is no consent banner to click.
1. What we measure
We count visits by reading the web server's own access logs, which every website receives in order to serve pages at all. Before those logs are used, visitor addresses are shortened on the server so that they identify a network rather than a device or a person, and the country is worked out from the shortened version using a local data file.
The statistics that come out hold no addresses and no identifiers, and cannot be traced back to an individual, or to the same person on another day.
2. How long we keep it
Raw server logs, which do contain full addresses, are kept for twelve months and then deleted. The statistics built from them are aggregates, kept for as long as they are useful. They are private to the organisers and are not published.
3. Why we may, and who handles it
We process this data on the basis of legitimate interest: keeping the site available and secure, and understanding which content is useful. You can object at any time using the contact details below.
The site is hosted in Germany. The statistics are produced by an automation service (GitHub Actions), which fetches the shortened log and processes it in the United States. No other party receives the data.
4. Your rights
You may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to it being processed, or ask for a copy. Write to us using the details below. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
5. Other sites
Where we link to another site, such as a ticketing provider or a speaker's own page, this policy does not cover what happens once you are there.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
